What do grant writers do and how is it done?
- Grant writers assist the nonprofit organization in obtaining funds from foundations, corporations, and government entities to support the various projects and programs.
- The project or program grant writer will seek funding for environmental education, community development, low-income housing, etc.
- The grant writer is responsible for researching grants and finding potential funders.
- The grant writer must develop the grant application, complete follow-up reports, data management and communication.
