What do grant writers do and how is it done?

  1. Grant writers assist the nonprofit organization in obtaining funds from foundations, corporations, and government entities to support the various projects and programs.

  1. The project or program grant writer will seek funding for environmental education, community development, low-income housing, etc.

  1. The grant writer is responsible for researching grants and finding potential funders.

  1. The grant writer must develop the grant application, complete follow-up reports, data management and communication.
